Eat your veggies or should I say "Drink" your veggies.

A couple of blog posts ago I mentioned about juicing and y'all asked me what I put in my juice.  I was so excited to see you boss babes interested in making green juice because it is truly amazing for you.  I know so many of you have long stressful days at times and juicing is so beneficial for energy and health aside from that it makes your skin glow...I mean what is better than that?!  Aside from glowing skin, green leafy vegetables help with inflammation.  Nowadays, it is so important with all of the chemicals we absorb from food or breathe in on a daily basis that we try to be proactive with our health.  Chronic Inflammation can lead to Alzheimer's, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and cancer are just some possible diseases that are linked to inflammation.  About 3 years ago, I started watching documentaries which led me to reading & researching so much about eating organic and really becoming conscious of what I eat.  I wake up at 5am and typically have long days and since changing my whole eating habits it has really helped me think more clearly and have a ton of energy.  And I don't drink coffee, I know I am a weirdo haha! You guys can even make it extra sweet and give it to your kids and start them young, my niece loves it.  So here's my go to recipe, I typically buy our fruit & veggies from an organic farm down the road from where I live. 
Green Juice Recipe
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 4 bunches of celery (2 packages)
  • A full or container or a full bag of kale or spinach (I use whichever I have at the time)
  • 8 green apples
  • 1 medium size clove of ginger
  • 1 lemon
Use a strainer or cheese cloth to strain out the pulp, the celery pulp doesn't taste so hot going down otherwise. I use a Breville juicer that was a gift but you can search online for one. Stir it up really good and enjoy!
